Mission Statement

The mission of Blessed Sacrament Parish is to grow as a faith community, in which the members, through their loving ministry to one another, create an atmosphere in which faith, strengthened by the Eucharist and the love of Christ, is experienced. In this faith community, the members are encouraged to respond to God's call by ministering to the needs of others and by bringing the good news of Christ to the World through the use of their individual and collective gifts.

Blessed Sacrament Parish Pastoral Council

The purpose of Blessed Sacrament Parish Pastoral Council is to bring all the elements of the parish together in order to build a living Christian Community. Together, with its commissions, the Council determines goals and policies for the parish in light of the Gospel for the purpose of building the Reign of God in the world. Council is a representative group comprising commission chairpersons, members at large elected by the parish, and parish staff. The purpose of the five commissions is to examine various dimensions of parish life in light of the Gospel, and to set goals and policies for the parish within their area of responsibility. Three Commissions -- Worship and Spiritual Growth, Fellowship, and Administration -- seek ways to build up and nurture the body of Christ within the parish. Two Commissions -- Service & Justice and Evangelization -- seek ways for the parish to serve the Reign of God in the larger community and the world. Pastoral Council meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of the month. All parishioners are invited to attend.
