Fr. Donald King, Pastor

Fr. Don King has been the pastor at Blessed Sacrament Church since July 1991.  He is originally from Canton, Ohio.  After earning his Masters Degree in Pastoral Theology at the Gregorian University in Rome, he was ordained in St. Peter’s in June 1974.  Before coming to Blessed Sacrament, he served as an associate pastor in several parishes, as Diocesan Vocation Director (1979-1987), and as a faculty member of the North American College in Rome (1987-1991).

Pat Campbell, Director of Music and Liturgy

Pat was born in Okinawa and grew up in Golden, Colorado.  She and her husband Steve have two children, Thomas and Catherine.  Pat studied music at Colorado State University and graduated from Metropolitan State College in Denver.  She has done graduate work in music education at the University of Denver.  A member of the National Pastoral Musicians and the American Guild of Organists, Pat came to us with over fifteen years of experience in liturgy and music.  She has taught vocal/general music K-12 and continues to teach privately.  She and her family reside in Farrell, Pennsylvania.

Joanne Gilbert, Business Manager

Joanne was born in Warren, Ohio, attended Blessed Sacrament School, and has been a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish since its inception.  She and her husband, Cal, have two sons, Christopher and Kenneth.  Joanne has been working for the parish since 1995 as the building project coordinator and now the administrative assistant.  She had previously been working part time for the school.  Joanne also serves the parish as a member of the Finance Committee, a Eucharistic minister, and a volunteer in the bingo kitchen.

Karen Lazor, Administrative Assistant

Karen was born and raised in Warren, Ohio and has attended Blessed Sacrament Parish since 1996. She and her husband, Tom, have three children, Tom, Amy, and Kevin.  Karen worked as a nurse for 15 years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Warren and then as a nurse and office manager for a pediatric office for 16 years before coming to work at Blessed Sacrament in December of 2002.  She is presently serving the parish as a Eucharistic minister and a Sunday morning greeter, and is chairperson of the Welcoming Committee.  She is also on the core team of MOMS, is a sponsor couple volunteer, a member of the Stewardship Committee and Relay for Life.

Paula Pierce, Communications Director

Paula was raised in Western New York in the steel city of Lackawanna. While working in Cleveland, Paula met her husband Michael and then moved to Columbus, Ohio. To be closer to family, Paula, Michael and their daughter Alyson, moved back to Warren six years ago.  Since that time, Paula has been involved in MOMS, Vacation Bible School, Christmas Eve Family Choir, Stewardship Committee and Office Volunteer. In addition, Paula has been involved in the recent Diocesan Capital Campaign.

Terry Supancic, Pastoral Associate

I came to Ohio 28 years ago as my husband, Frank, joined the staff of Warren City Schools.  While staying home to raise two daughters, I began to work in the church.  With a Master's Degree from St. Bonaventure University, teaching was the way to begin.  As a Catholic school teacher, Director of Religious Education, Diocesan Family Life Director and now Pastoral Associate here at Blessed Sacrament Parish Community I have been blessed with an incredible faith journey.  For the past 25 years I have met wonderful people that have been a gift to my life.  I hope to help the people here at Blessed Sacrament to get closer to God and find the moments in their lives that have been touched by God.  The birth of my first grandson, Andrew Joseph, has given me a glimpse of pure joy.  Jennifer and Dax live in Cincinnati with Andrew.  Kelly and Jim live in Cleveland and are expecting soon.  Please call me to help your faith journey in any way I can.

Matt Abramowski, Director of Faith Formation

Matt was born and raised in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He attended Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Pastoral Ministry and Philosophy.  As Matt finished his undergraduate work, Walsh was in the process of beginning a graduate program in theology.  Matt entered the program and was one of two students to graduate from the inaugural class with a Master of Arts in Theology in Lay Ecclesial Leadership.  He is very grateful for the many enriching experiences he had during his time as a student, including: a one year internship at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Canton, Ohio; a summer internship with the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) that allowed him to work with Mr. Brian R. Corbin (Executive Director of Catholic Charities Services and Health Affairs) and reside with Rev. Edward Noga (Pastor) at St. Patrick's in Youngstown, Ohio; his time as an office coordinator for Walsh's Institute for Justice and Peace; and being selected to serve as a graduate assistant to Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano (Director of Walsh's graduate program in Theology).  Matt is excited about sharing in the ministry of such a vibrant community at Blessed Sacrament.  He and his wife Kathy currently reside in Canfield, Ohio and enjoy hiking and biking at Mill Creek.

Chris Henyk, Diocesan Seminarian on a Pastoral Year Assignment

Christopher was born in Trzcianka, Poland.  His parents and four siblings live in his native country.  Christopher studied at the very prestigious Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland where he obtained his Bachelor of Philosophy Degree.  During the course of his stay in the United States he earned a Master's Degree in Systematic Theology from the SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Michigan.  Presently he is enrolled in the priestly formation program at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA where he hopes to obtain his second Master's Degree in Theology.  He has been assigned to the Blessed Sacrament Parish for a year in order to obtain some pastoral experience and prepare himself for his ordination.
