Meet the Staff

Pastor
Fr. Thomas Eisweirth was appointed pastor of Blessed Sacrament by Bishop George V. Murry, S.J., in September 2010, and officially installed as pastor on Sunday, October 31, 2010. Fr. Eisweirth received all of his Sacraments of Initiation at St. Mary Parish in Conneaut, Ohio, and graduated from St. John High School in Ashtabula, Ohio. He attended seminary at St. Gregory and Mt. St. Mary in Cincinnati. He was ordained a priest at St. William Parish in Champion, Ohio, in 1974. He served as an Associate Pastor at St. Rose Parish in Girard (1974-1980), then as Co-Pastor at the Newman Center in Kent (1980-1986). He was appointed Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Youngstown (1986-2000); St. Paul Parish in Salem (2000-2010) and St. Patrick Parish in Leetonia (2006-2010) before coming to Warren, Ohio. He also served as the Priest Personnel Advisor under Bishop James Malone and Bishop Thomas Tobin.

Business Manager
Joanne is responsible for financial and payroll records, bill paying, bank transactions, budgets, year end and quarterly reports, parish campaigns and pledges, reports to the Diocese of Youngstown, and facilities use and maintenance. She helps to oversee the Money Counters, Environment Committee, Landscaping Committee and the grounds. Joanne is on the Administration Commission and Charity Fund Committee, and serves the parish as a Eucharistic Minister.

Pastoral Associate
Terry came to Ohio from Pennsylvania at the time her husband Frank joined the staff of Warren City Schools. While staying home to raise two daughters, she began to work in the church. With a Master's Degree from St. Bonaventure University, teaching was the way to begin. As a Catholic school teacher, Director of Religious Education, Diocesan Family Life Director and now Pastoral Associate at Blessed Sacrament Parish Community, Terry has been blessed with an incredible faith journey, meeting wonderful people that have gifted her life. It is her hope to help the people here at Blessed Sacrament to get closer to God and find the moments in their lives that have been touched by God. Terry is available to help you on your own faith journey in any way she can.

Administrative Assistant
Karen is the first person you meet as you enter the parish office. She is the primary person who answers the phones and directs the calls to the various departments. Karen maintains the parish data base including weekly contributions. She updates the on-line data base for the parish envelopes and manages the on-line file maintenance of the parish stewardship appeal with the Diocese of Youngstown. Masses and baptisms are scheduled by Karen in the front office, along with the maintenance of the official sacramental books. Currently Karen serves as a Eucharistic Minister, greeter, and is a member of the Marriage Preparation and Welcoming Committees. Karen has been working at the parish since 2002; she enjoys meeting and greeting all the people of the parish.

Communications Director
Paula prepares the weekly bulletin and quarterly newletter, and maintains the parish website. She also oversees many outreach activities of the parish, including Hunger Awarenss, Relay for Life, Heart Walk, and Away From Home Care Packages Ministry. Paula coordinates monthly social activities for the "55 and Over" Group. Finally, Paula provides daily office support for the parish, and also serves as secretary and staff liaison to the Parish Pastoral Council.

Director of Music and Worship
Pat oversees the planning for all liturgies, and oversees the formation of Liturgical Ministers. She coordinates Scripture Study and Communal/Seasonal Prayers of the parish. She serves as choir director and shares her musical talents on various instruments, and also provides music for weddings and funerals. Pat serves as liaison to the Worship and Spiritual Growth Commission. She is a Certified Director of Music Ministries (CDMM).
