Family Life
This commission promotes holy, wholesome, Christian family life in the parish and the community at large and seeks to strengthen the families of Blessed Sacrament by assisting those in need and nurturing the faith of all. This commission realizes that families are as diverse as the numbers of parishioners.
Sponsor Couple Volunteers
The married couple meets for several sessions, couple to couple, with the engaged couple in a process designed to aid in their preparation for Christian marriage. Sponsor couples meet together on a regular basis for continuing formation.
Marriage Enrichment Committee
This group seeks to provide opportunities for married couples of the parish to strengthen and enhance their relationships.
Geagua Lake Family Day
Each year during July, Blessed Sacrament parish goes to Geagua Lake. Families and individuals gather at a reserved pavilion to picnic and spend the day together.
Bereavement Ministry
This ministry provides a connection between the parish of Blessed Sacrament and the bereaved, and offers assistance and ongoing support to the families and individuals that have experienced a loss. Volunteers provide a mercy meal for the family on the day of the funeral.
Bereavement Support Group
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday's of the month for those who have suffered a loss due to death, divorce or other life-altering event. Meetings are held in the Religious Education Lounge at the parish office.
Homebound Ministry
These ministers bringing pastoral care to parishioners who are ill or confined to home or a nursing facility by serving the Eucharist, listening, praying and encouraging those to whom they minister.
Hospital Ministry
Volunteers from the parish visit those parishioners who are sick and in the hospital.
Baptism Preparation Volunteers
Trained married couples assist the staff with presentations for preparing couples for the baptism of their child.
Fellowship Commission
This commission seeks the growth of the parish as a friendly and hospitable community. They are concerned with the social dimension of the parish including dances, parties, sports programs, and non-liturgical celebrations.
Soup Suppers
Suppers are held every Tuesday in Reagan Hall during Lent following the 5: 30pm liturgy. Volunteers make soup, set-up and clean up the hall. There are usually 12 ~ 15 different kinds of soups, bread, beverages and desserts.
Golf Outing
An annual event held at a local golf course for men, women and teens of the parish. The committee is made up of Blessed Sacrament parishioners.
