Sponsor
Couple Volunteers
The
married couple meets for several sessions, couple to couple,
with the engaged couple in a process designed to aid in their
preparation for Christian marriage. Sponsor couples meet
together on a regular basis for continuing formation.
Marriage
Enrichment Committee
This group
seeks to provide opportunities for married couples of the parish
to strengthen and enhance their relationships.
Parish Picnic
The Parish picnic is an
annual event held on the parish grounds for all parishioners.
Children of all ages (newborns to 99) gather for games, food,
and fellowship. This event is usually held in July.
Bereavement
Ministry
This
ministry provides a connection between the parish of Blessed
Sacrament and the bereaved, and offers assistance and ongoing
support to the families and individuals that have experienced a
loss. Volunteers provide a mercy meal for the family on the day
of the funeral.
Bereavement
Support Group
This group
meets on the first Thursday of the month for those who have
suffered a loss due to death. Meetings are held in Providence
Center.
Homebound
Ministry
These
ministers bringing pastoral care to parishioners who are ill or
confined to home or a nursing facility by serving the Eucharist,
listening, praying and encouraging those to whom they minister.
Hospital
Ministry
Volunteers
from the parish visit those parishioners who are sick and in the
hospital.
Baptism
Preparation Volunteers
Trained married couples assist the staff with presentations
for preparing couples for the baptism of their child.
Nursing Home
Mass is celebrated
monthly at Horizon Village, Gillette Nursing Home, and Shepherd
of the Valley. Lay ministers visit the residents weekly and
bring them Holy Communion.
MOMS
Ministry of Mothers Sharing is a nationally established
formational program to help mothers recognize their role as
sacred and to develop spiritual and emotional methods of
enrichment.
House Blessing
Father King is
available to visit your home and bless the dwelling. Please
call the parish office to set up an appointment.
Annulments
The process of an annulment is available through the parish.
Annulments are for those who have completed a civil divorce and
take approx. 18 months to finalize.
